In August 2009, just after her 57th. Annual General Meeting and receiving approval from shareholders of Koong Yik Loh Goldsmiths, the management committee renovated the old facade of Koong Yik Loh Goldsmiths into a modern 21st. century look for her shop front.

Since then, Koong Yik Loh Goldsmiths looks rejunevated and more modern looking shop front. By re-inventing her image, she has managed to provide better and new product lines to their customers.

Over this period, advertisement flyers have been circulated within Muar to show off her new look and image.

KOONG YIK LOH GOLDSMITHS located at Nos. 8 & 10 of Jalan Sayang, 84000 Muar, Johor, Malaysia has a long and interesting history. She is located in the main road of Muar Central.

Founded in 1942, at the onset of the Japanese Invasion of Malaya during the 2nd. World War, Koong Yik Loh was started by 3 family friends viz. The Wong family, Kwan Family and Choo family.

The sole business was in gold bullion trading and selling of gold pieces and jewellery to customers. If we consider her founding years, Koong Yik Loh Goldsmiths has been around and serving Muar residents for the past 68 years.

Some families have graced Koong Yik Loh Goldsmiths over the years by purchasing her gold items for their grand children, weddings, anniversaries and other auspicious occassions.

Koong Yik Loh Goldsmiths renovated her shop front in August 2009 and now can continue to serve Muar residents and surrounding areas in a new and refreshing surroundings.
